Plans
Lane has two plans, Starter and Pro, plus a Pro Trial for new workspaces to evaluate the paid features. Pro unlocks more capability (more AI credits, more seats, and features like the MCP server, close-the-loop, CRM sync, and saved Views). On Starter, you can connect one automatic feedback source, such as Slack, Intercom, Zendesk or Granola; Pro connects as many as you use. Email forwarding, CSV import and the Chrome extension don’t count toward that limit. Billing is handled through our payment provider. Upgrades take effect immediately; if you downgrade to Starter, the change is scheduled for the end of your current period so you keep what you’re paying for until then. Cancelling returns you to Starter. When a trial ends, the workspace moves to Starter automatically. The next time you sign in, Lane shows what still works on Starter and what needs Pro, with a link to compare plans.AI credits
Lane’s AI features — processing feedback, drafting Docs, Ask Lane — run on AI credits. Each plan includes a monthly pool that refreshes at the start of your billing period; the trial comes with a one-time pool instead. Your balance is under Usage on the Billing page. If you run out, AI features pause until your credits refresh, but nothing breaks — you can still capture feedback and work in Lane manually. On Pro, you can also top up anytime with Purchase credits. When your balance falls to 5 credits or fewer, the workspace owner gets an email, so there’s time to top up before AI features pause.Seats
Each plan includes a set number of seats. Seats aren’t purchased à la carte — the number comes with your plan. Only Editors and the Owner consume a seat; Contributors don’t (see below).Members and roles
Manage your team in Settings → Members. There are three roles:- Owner — full access, including billing and workspace settings. The Owner can’t be changed to another role.
- Editor — full access to work in the workspace: create and edit Signals, Docs, feedback, customers, and more. Editors take a seat.
- Contributor — a lightweight, read-only role that can submit feedback but not edit workspace data. Contributors don’t consume a seat, which makes them a good fit for wider team members who just need to add input.
Inviting and managing members
Invite someone with Invite member, choosing whether they join as an Editor or a Contributor. Members are organized by status:- Active — currently have access.
- Invited — invitation sent, not yet accepted.
- Inactive — access has been turned off. Deactivate a member to free their seat without deleting their history.
